ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Please check the Abstract Page before submitting an abstract.
- All abstracts must be submitted online via the online submission system. Abstracts submitted by email will NOT be evaluated and accepted.
- Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline on the website. Of those who did not receive after the deadline will not be considered.
- Presentation Type: Abstracts may be submitted for Oral or E-poster presentation. The Scientific Committee has full authority to determine whether the abstract will be accepted for presentation, with consideration given to the author’s preference. The Scientific Committee reserves right to give final decision regarding the presentation type.
- All abstracts must be written and presented in only English.
- All submitted abstract will be published on the Special Issue of the Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry.
- The same person may submit up to limitless abstracts regardless of presenting author. The same person may serve as presenting author on up to 1 abstract.
- Presenting authors must be registered participants. Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by the Early Registration Deadline (announced in the congress website) will be scheduled for presentation and included for publication.
- Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official congress publications.
- The presenting author has the full responsibility to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agreed on its submission, before submitting the abstract.
- Abstracts that have been previously published or presented at another meeting must NOT be submitted.
- Congress official language is only English. Abstracts must be submitted in English.
- Abstract submitter should declare acknowledgements, conflict of interest, ethics requirements, informed consent, author contributions, funding, and data availability at the Authorship statement, Copyright Transfer, Financial Disclosure, and Acknowledgement Permission Form (ACFAP). All authors must have seen and approved the final version of the abstract, agreed to its submission and publication. Presenting Author must fill accordingly, sign and submit the ACFAP form on behalf of all Authors.
- Guidelines for preparation of presentations will be made available on the congress website.
1. Abstract Title
- Maximum word limit for the abstract title should be 20.
- Title must be ALL UPPER CASE and BOLD.
- Please avoid using symbols and submit as Words.
- Title must be using a standard 12-point font size, in the Times New Roman font, 1.5 spaced and justified.
Example:

2. Author(s) Information
2.1. Author(s) Name and Affiliatioms
- Author(s) name and surname: Only initial Letters should be Upper Case. Please write the names as First name and Second name, respectively.
- Please do NOT write academic degree of Authors.
- Please underline the Presenting Authors’ name.
- Please do NOT write academic degrees of Authors.
- Please follow the below order for Authors’ information requested: Department, University (Hospital etc.), City, Country
- Please use the same superscript Arabic numbers when the Authors are from same institute.
- If an Author has more than one affiliation, please give consecutive superscript Arabic number accordingly.
- If all Authors have same affiliation, there is no need to give any superscript Arabic number.

3. Abstract Body
3.1. General Format
- Format and Style: Congress language is only English. However, both British and American spelling conventions are acceptable.
- Length: The word limit for all type of abstracts is 300 (excluding Title, Author(s)’ name and affiliations).
- Accepted Files: Abstracts should be uploaded as Word (.doc or .docx) and only include Abstract page. Figures and/or Tables should NOT be submittted.
- Font: All submissions must be using a standard 12-point font size, and in the Times Roman font.
- Layout and Spacing: Abstract text should 1.5 spaced and in single column.
3.2. Original Research
- Word limit for abstracts is 300 (excluding Title, Author(s)’ names and affiliations).
- Abstract should be presented under the structured subheadings. These subheadings should appear in the text of the abstract. Please write the title of the article and Author affiliations at the top of the abstract. The structured abstract format is as follow:
- Aim: Please clearly state the rationale, aims and/hypotheses (e.g. null or a priori) of the study.
- Methods: Please clearly describe the methodology and write the statistical analysis.
- Results: Please draw the reader’s attention to the highlights/important parts of the findings. Please do NOT submit any of images and/or tables.
- Conclusions: Please give a brief conclusion and a comment on the potential implication of the findings and the study.
3.3. Case Report and Review
- Word limit for abstracts is 300 (excluding Title, Author(s)’ names and affiliations).
- Please write the title of the article and Author affiliations at the top of the abstract.
- Please provide a non-structured, 1-paragraph abstract that briefly summarizes the case report and review. Authors are asked to describe patient(s)’ characteristics, clinical findings, treatment management and clinical outcomes. Please also state the clinical significance and the implications for clinical practice.

By submitting an abstract to the ICCPD 2023, Author(s) confirm and agree to the following statements:
- The Presenting Author confirms that they reviewed this abstract and that all information is correct. Authors accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and they are aware that it will be published in congress official publication as submitted.
- All co-authors agreed to the submission and publication of the abstract with all it consents in congress publications.
- The Presenting Author and/or Abstract Submitter warrant and represents that author(s) followed the guidelines of the ICCPD 2023 and international ethical guidelines.
- The Authors agree that copyright on all abstracts published in Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry is retained by the organizer namely Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry. When submitting an article to Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry, authors agree to transfer all copyright ownership, including the right to reproduce the article in all forms and media, to Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry by signing the copyright transfer agreement form.
- The Organizer, Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry publishes open access articles under a Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
- Authors herewith confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the presenting author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The presenting author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract. The submitting author may request to be copied on the abstract correspondence.
- Authors understand that the presenting author must be a registered participant.
- The Organizer, Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry reserves the right to remove from publication and/or presentation an abstract which does not comply with the above.
- Authors understand that the Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject or change the presentation type under which the abstract was originally submitted.
- Authors understand that all submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee according to reviewing procedures.
- Authors understand that if they want to withdraw an abstract, they should notify the Congress Secretariat (info@contemppediatrdent.org) by e-mail until July 31, 2023.
