DENTAL MATERIALS FOR CARIES MANAGEMENT

The management of dental caries in paediatric patients requires a comprehensive, evidence-based approach that integrates principles of cariology and minimal intervention dentistry (MID). This presentation will explore the use of various dental materials in caries management, considering both patient-level and tooth-level strategies and highlight their indications for non-invasive, micro-invasive, and restorative treatment approaches. This will include mainly the use of silver diamine fluoride, glass ionomer cements, adhesive systems, composite resin and stainless steel crowns.
