ABSTRACT

Pain management is one of the most important factors for achieving a successful treatment in pediatric dentistry. Although conventional infiltration anesthesia is the most frequently used technique, it can be difficult for clinicians to administer in pediatric patients. Nowadays, with the advancement in technology and newly developed techniques, digital intraosseous anesthesia became a popular and useful anesthesia technique. With this technique, a more effective and less painful local anesthesia can be achieved in children. The aim of this presentation is to provide detailed information about the digital intraosseous anesthesia which can be a game changer for local anesthesia application in in pediatric dentistry.
