One of the greatest challenges in pediatric dentistry is the management of children with molar incisor hypomineralization (MIH). Over time, this dental problem has become common in everyday life, affecting 1 in 5 children. To manage these patients properly, professionals must be aware of the patient’s characteristics, the family’s expectations, the diagnosis, and the treatment plan, and be updated on the best available treatment options. This presentation will cover key aspects of MIH, from its classification, severity, and treatment planning strategies to new ways of managing hypersensitivity, reconstructing severely affected teeth using different restoration techniques and digital workflow options. Hence, an attempt to solve this (un)soluble puzzle.
