Dr. Antonio Pedro Silva obtained his Specialist Degree in Pediatric Dentistry from Oporto Dental Medical School (FMDUP-UP) in 2011.
Dr. Silva is founder of Pediatric Dentistry Forum with more than 46000 members from all over the world and he practice exclusively Pediatric Dentistry in the city of Antwerp ,Belgium.
He is invited lecture for several congress from all over the world like Italy, Spain; USA, Portugal, Mexico, Russia, Egypt, Iraq, Bulgaria and Ukraine.
He was invited Speaker in the last IAPD19 Congress in Cancun and keynote speaker at AAPD 20. He is currently member of the IAPD PR committee and Chair of the YIAPD Network (for young Pediatric Dentists).
ABSTRACT
The world is “always” Changing: Maybe faster nowadays.
Over time, Pediatric Dentistry has faced several paradigm shifts in different areas of the speciality such as in dental caries management, behavior management, and even the emergence of Molar Incisor Hipomineralizations as a “new” and not completely understood entity.
While Society changes, Science and Technology improve and new challenges arise. During this narrative presentation we will see the impact of society, science and technology in contemporary pediatric dentistry such as:
- The impact of modern parents and children on clinical pediatric dentistry (behavior management, caries management, aesthetics).
- The role of Dentist(ry) in dental caries paradigm while It s prevalence remains so high.
- How technology is improving pediatric dentistry and what can we expect for the future?
